We are in the process of applying for funding from different sources. As our sponsors respond, we might be able to fund travel for some students, post docs and Junior faculty. Please check this site often for updates and information on funding availability. Preference will be given to those giving a talk.
Online funding application forms and procedures would be available by November 1, 2008. Applicants will be required to pre-register before applying.
Below are some sources that participants may want to consider applying for:
- UNESCO/ANSTI Diaspora Award
UNESCO/ANSTI is inviting African scientists in the Diaspora to apply for the above award. The award is offered to scientists who wish to attend scientific thematic conferences and workshops in Africa. The award includes the cost of air ticket, accommodation and a daily subsistence amount for the duration of the conference. Women scientists in the Diaspora are particularly encouraged to apply.

- AWM TRAVEL GRANTS: Objective: "Enable women to attend research conferences in their fields, thereby providing a valuable opportunity to advance their research activities and their visibility in the research community" For details, see http://www.awm-math.org/travelgrants.html Target Due Dates: There will be three award periods per year, with applications due February 1, May 1, and October 1.
